The Constitution of the United States of America

July 4, 1776:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

This statement by the colonial government of 1776 comes to mind as we watch our government in Washington, D.C. ignore the safety and the concerns of a majority of American citizens. Are we pursuing “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness” when a mere 400 individuals control fully 25% of our country’s net worth? Can we be satisfied that our country is serving our collective needs when fully 60% of the population is living paycheck to paycheck (and that doesn’t necessarily include the 20% living at poverty levels)? Has our government become “destructive” when a majority of our population cannot make good on a $500 emergency expense?

It is time to tell Washington, D.C. that enough is enough. It is time to DEMAND that the United States of America have a financial structure and tax base that is FAIR and EQUAL for all, not just the wealthy.

March 4, 1789:

“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

Have we, as citizens of the greatest people in the history of Earth lost our way. Has “Democracy” actually been abandoned in the name of “MONEY”? What has happened to the “Blessings of Liberty” for EVERY citizen?

The formation of the United States of America demands that fairness and equality be for EVERY citizen.

It is time to CALL our hand. It is time to demand justice for all. It is time to acknowledge that the 1986 Tax Act and the “Trickle Down” economic theories DO NOT WORK.

April 23, 2024:

I hate the idea of being a nuisance and believe me I understand and FEEL your frustration. HOWEVER, if we don’t stand up and oppose the direction of this country; if we don’t oppose the thug like mob that has gained a boldness unprecedented in American history, then we deserve what we get. What that may mean is the equivalent of a “Nazi America”.

The founding fathers didn’t always agree. They did provide a means of expressing oneself without creating war with every disagreement. It’s called the Constitution of the United States of America. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights have provided the foundation for the resolution of more than TWO HUNDRED YEARS of disagreement. We don’t have to agree on every issue. But we CAN work together to the benefit of the country.

In your lifetime did you ever suspect that a minority of the citizenship would actually endorse bullying and thuggery instead of working together to create solutions. I remain committed to the basic tenants of the Republican Party’s first President, Abraham Lincoln. In a similarly divisive time with not just the threat of war, but actual Civil War, President Lincoln stood by the Constitution and the commitment to Fairness and Equity in government. As an individual that would no doubt qualify as a “RINO” by many who contend to be Republican Party members, I would objectively dispute that tag. It is not against American ideals to work across the aisle. It is not against American ideals to seek solutions for everyone not in the name of a particular person or party.

PLEASE consider supporting a fair and equitable government, financially and verbally. Please stand up for the integrity of America and in opposition to the bully behavior that has raised its ugly head in our AMERICA.

Consider supporting a government emblematic of a government OF the people, FOR the people and BY the people. You don’t have to agree with every position espoused by our campaign; but aren’t the principles of a balanced budget, equality in educational opportunity, reasonable health care coverage for all American citizens and a reasonable retirement opportunity for our senior citizens the foundations for a renewal of the American Dream for ALL? The re-establishment of America’s Middle Class and a recommitment to an equal and fair society.

Let’s DREAM BIG! Let’s work together and support the American Dream.
